Brian's Story

Hooked in 2010

Hey there! I'm Brian, and after watching a friend's lab work magic on a waterfowl hunt back in 2010, I was hooked.

That led me to my own retriever, Blu, and to what RHOK is today: a guiding operation running dry ag fields, flooded impoundments, potholes, small lakes and rivers across 32,000+ acres of Southeast Kansas.

We guide waterfowl hunts from November through the end of January, with lodging and home-cooked meals at Lake Lodge and Cloverdale House. The kennel came out of the same obsession, and it is why there is always a finished dog working in front of your blind.

Senior Guide & Partner

Senior guide and partner, three seasons with RHOK. Joey or Brian will be in direct contact with your group before every hunt so you know exactly how the day is shaping up.

Guide

Guide, and owner of J&M Whitetail Outfitters. Scouting, setups and running the spread through the November to January season.

Guide and helper. Runs dogs, sets the spread and keeps the mornings moving so your group can hunt.

Personalized, always

All gun dogs are unique and have different strengths and weaknesses. Programs are built around the dog in front of us and the owner's goals — never a template.
