Our Story
Hey there! I’m Brian, and after watching a friend’s lab work magic on a waterfowl hunt back in 2010, I was hooked. And that led me to my own retriever, Blu, and sparked what’s now become RHR – my little slice of heaven spread across 22,000 acres of Southeast Kansas hunting paradise.
From that first experience, I was amazed by the dog’s passion for retrieving, and I continue to be inspired by my retriever. For the last 12 years with Blu, my journey as a dog owner and handler has been full of personal and professional growth and has become a vital part of who I am.
Training here isn’t one-size-fits-all – it’s about understanding what makes your dog tick and building on that. For me, there’s nothing quite like watching a dog’s natural instincts come alive through proper training. Whether you’re bringing home an 8-week-old pup or looking to sharpen your current hunting buddy’s skills, I’ll work with you and your dog to create that special bond I discovered with Blu years ago.
